Sitti Wooden Soap Dishes are uniquely designed and crafted to keep your soap lasting longer, by keeping it dry after each use. These dishes are perfect to help keep your soap dry and lasting longer next to the kitchen sink, bathroom sink, or next to the tub.
Sitti Soap dishes are made by Hassan, a carpenter in the Jerash Camp Rehabilitation Center's woodworking shop, where he cuts, sands and finishes each of Wooden Soap Dish. He is also deaf. However, his inability to hear does not undermine his passion and dedication to his craft. We are incredibly grateful for Hassan and for the other members of them Sitti Soap community who bring their unique talents and determination to work each and every day.
We have two varieties available: Pine and Oak. Pine is light and raw while Oak wood is a more luxurious heavier wood.
PLEASE NOTE:
The soap dish you’ve purchased is handmade from beautiful, locally-sourced pine and oak in Jordan. Each dish features carved slits, designed to quickly drain water from soap bars, keeping your soap dry and longer lasting. These dishes are a one piece solid design with no nails or glues.
we recommend changing you soap dishes every few weeks. Changing out your soap dish regularly allows for a natural drying process to occur, and will help prevent any mold and mildew from forming.
Additionally, it is important to use a mild, all-natural cleaning solution every 2-3 weeks to keep your dish clean and free of mold and mildew. It’s important to remember that just because its job is to hold your soap, doesn’t mean that it will stay clean!
